I never expected last 2 weeks would be so dramatic..the week kicked off with an incident i'd remember forever!
I was still at work after 6 pm that one particular day..was looking for my colleague to help me with a task, when I found her hanging out with the guys from Prime Sports Team. Kebetulan plak tempat dorg tu ade meje foosball yg sgtlaa memanggil2 aku suro main! So I told them "Jom main 2 round je"..TAPI mmglaa ended up 10 rounds kot, sbb saingan semakin sengit, and since team aku ala2 nak menang, mmglaa tak nak stop kan! Bedebah nye meje foosball!
Pastu by 10 pm, the guys dah nak kua gi dinner..yes, 10 mlm ok baru stop main! At 1st nak join, but then memikirkan keje tak siap, so me, Fiona n Sue ended up staying back to finish the remainings of our workload..mmg ni ala2 tgh wat assignment time blaja aa ni, time dah nak tengah mlm, baru otak bergerak skit nak sambung wat keje kan..keje punye keje, last2 tak sedar dah kol 12.30 mlm. Shebby dah msg suro balik, and aku ckp aku tgh pack up aaa ni..Fiona dah blah dulu gi dinner ngn kawan die, so it was just me n Sue left. Since Sue parked her car in the building basement, die ajak ikut die, n akan anta aku gi open carpark sebelah tempat aku park, so I sed, "Ok no prob".
1.00am:
So kitorg pon naiklaa lift..tekanla B5..Aku diri sebelah kiri, Sue diri sebelah kanan, sambil ckp tepon ngn Fiona (Fiona naik cab, so tgh bgtau no plate cab sume, sebagai keselamatan aa)..skali tibe2 je PAPP! lif tros gelap n kitorg rase mcm lift tak bergerak!! SUMPAHLAAA GELAP GILEEE, gigi yg putih pon tak nmpk glow2 plis!! Aku n Sue mcm stunned jap, then Sue was like "OMG, OMG, OMG..What's happening?" Aku dah "Eerrr? UH-OHhh!" Pastu baru due2 mcm tersedar n panggil name masing2 sambil merabe2 carik tangan masing! (sebbaik tak terabe ape yg tak sepatutnye..heee!) Ble rase plis lift cam hanging2 in the air skit2! GERUNN! Then aku pon amek hp aku n unlocked it, so that cerah skit lift..ade hati Sue terpk kot2 kalau muncul ape2 kat blakang kitorg, sbb lift tu mcm cermin, reflection on every corner...aku mcm risau jgk, tp taknak pk! So aku jd tukang suluh, while Sue call blk Fiona n bgtau ape jd. Pastu kitorg carik emergency button, n jumpe button utk BELL, so kitorg tekan laa dgn gamaknye, mcm bell ring kat skolah menandekan waktu rehat yg tak berenti2! Sambil2 tuh dok check if masing2 ok, ble nafas sume...PBSM gell!
1.05am:
Since Fiona baru nak teksi, die suro pakcik teksi patah blk dtg Pusat Bandar Damansara. Mmglaa die bgtau kitorg rupenye the whole Pusat Bandar Damansara tgh black-out kan! FAKEDII!!! Kitorg dah risau dah, kalau the whole area black-out, camne nak kua kan kitorg kan? Saat2 tuh cam nak nanges jgk aaa, sbb again Shebby dah msg suro blk..aku ckp akunye office black-out, so stuck jap! Fiona kate die akan gi carik pak guard bgtau kitorg stuck.
1.10am:
Pak guard tuh try ckp ngn kitorg kat intercom, tp bile kitorg reply je, die mesti tak dgr..alamakk..camne nii kan? Last2 baru ble, n kitorg ckpla kitorg stuck sume. Pak guard tuh cam cube aa nak tenangkan kitorg, dorg tau kitorg kat B4..die ckp jap lagi technician smpi, so jgn risau "U will be saved in a few minutes" konon..dahlaa pak guard bangla plak tu, sumpah die ckp berbelit2, aku n Sue cube sedaye upaye la nak paham bak kate! Nak gelak, tp cam berdose lak kan, yg dlm bahayenye kitorg jgk, tak sedar diri tol! So since die kate jap lagi technician smpi, kitorg pon bertenanglaa jgk..
1.20am:
Sbb kitorg dah penat diri, so kitorg pon dok kat lantai lif sambil bersile. Sue was still on the phone with Fiona, since she's giving us updates on what's happening outside, what the guards were trying to do to save us, etc. Aku pon try la call org. Nak call Shebby, mmg tak brani aa sbb dah jd anak derhake, org suro balik tak nak balik2, amek kau balasan kan..Called my sisters, dah tido tak angkat. Nak call Jib, die takde fon. So called Natt. Mestila suare busuk haram, gaye dah lame tido dibuai mimpi indah minah nih..rase bersalah plak! But i told her what happened, and mmglaa minah nih suro aku jgn main tepon, save battery phone utk emergency. So i was like, "Ok ok.." Nak call Nadiah, tp takut kacau tido..tp nak jgk..so i was like, "Ok, call Nadiah jap lagi"
So aku pon doklaa senyap2 sambil dgr Sue ckp ngn Fiona. Tp lps 2 minit, cam tak puas hati aku dok senyap2, mulut gatal jgk nak repot n carik org terdekat yg ble tlg...then aku tringat Nana agak dekat n die ckp die nak stay up study utk exam, so aku pon cubelaa nasib kot2 die tak tido. Mule2 tak angkat, but then tetibe Nana msg tanye asal call. So aku pon cite la ape jd..aku rase mcm org gile jgk, sbb kejap nak nanges, kejap nak gelak, kejap blur, kejap gagap mase ckp ngn die! NESLO gell!
1.30am:
After ckp ngn Nana, aku n Sue hang up, then dok senyap2 sambil dok berbalas "HELLO HELLooO!" ngn pak guard. Tipunye pak guard, ckp technician smpi dlm mase 3 minit, tp dah 10 minit pon takde ape2 usehe nak korek pintu lif pon! Aku ngn Sue mule2laa pk mcm2 kan, gaye takde bende nak wat - what if tak terselamat dlm mase 1 jam? what if takle nak korek pintu? what if esok msk bulletin bangunan?...sampai last2 WHAT IFs kitorg jd pop quiz dlm magazine pompuan lak- What would you do if you're stuck in a lift with a guy? Which celebrity would you rather be stuck in a lift with? (Kitorg due2 jawap Justin Timberlake plis! Sbb baru dgr Sexy Back kat mp3 before turun! haha FAKEDII!)
Tp sempat jgk ckp sorry kat masing2, sbb aku yg lambat kemas barang..and Sue plak ckp sorry sbb die yg suro aku teman die gi basement..Tp sebbaiklaa aku ikut die, kalau die dorg, then jd camni, lagi kesiann!!!!
Then Fiona ckp dorg dah nak dtg slamatkan kitorg, tp hopefully lift tak berenti in between levels, sbb kalau ye, camne nak kuakan kitorg dr pintu kan? Terpaksela dorg bukak bumbung lift, ala2 Anakin Skywalker dlm Starwars, selamatkan dari atas! Dorg kate be prepared nak kene terjun ke, panjat ke..Mase tuh aku cam "WOOWWW adventurousnyeee!!" tp bile pk2 balik, "YEZZAA aku pakai skirt pliss!! Sesuainyee attire aku!"
1.40am:
Kitorg nmpk cahaye2 lampu n bunyi org ckp2 kat lua, so nak melonjak kegembiraan, tp sbb lift cam goyang2 skit, cuak jgk, so kitorg berdiri tegak balik! pastu dorg cam cungkil2 pintu ngn apetah, last2 ble bukakkkkk!!!! YAYY! tp mmg aa tgk2, kitorg atas skit from level B5, so kene lompat ke bawah..setan, sebbaik tak tinggi! Pastu bile dah kua, tindakan relfex aku n Sue tros pelok Fiona mcm tak jumpe setahun! Sebbaik tak peluk technician n pak guard skali!
1.50am:
Dah jumpe kete Sue, kitorg stuck kat exit basement plak, sbb Boom Gate (palang parking) tuh still tutup jln kua..kitorg dah tension dah, 1 lagi masalah! Takkan nak naik teksi blk umah kan, lagi bahaye..skali bile my colleagues try angkat, rupenye boom gate tuh ble angkat camtuh je!! SELAMAT GELL! So we made our way to the open car park, luckily the boom gate was up too, so i went to my car and we all drove home! Batak, sepanjang jln aku dok membebel ngn nana bgtau aku dah slmt, sbb i told her, if tak dpt amek kete aku, nak mintak tlg die amek aku..keke, sebbaik takyah!
2.15am:
Sampai umah, Shebby dah lame tido, tak sedar dah..aku ADE HATI MAKAN NASIKKK!! Kagum jgk, dah panic2 td pon, ade selere lagi nak mkn kari daging ngn telur dadar!
Ok all in all, SGT ADVENTEROUS, but of course I was kinda worried and scared at that time, my main concern were "What if they can't save us after a few hours, and there's not enough air for us to breathe? Will i get to see my family again? Will i get to see Jib, Nadiah, Shazu etc? (sbb tak dpt ckp ngn korg kan!)" I started to think of what my dad, mom, siblings and my close friends would say and do if im trapped for hours.
THANK GOD we managed to come out after only 1/2 an hour..in a way, I came to realise, probably Allah was trying to show me something: Appreciate your loved ones..don't take them for granted..there is a limit to everything, don't overdo stuff..
MORAL OF THE STORY:
1) Dengar ckp bapak. Kalau bapak suro balik, balik.
2) Jangan leke main..set your priorities right!
3) Jangan buang mase kat ofis..haha! Balik cepat!4) Kalau stuck dlm lift, jgn panic..takde pape sebenarnye..ble nafas plis!
Thanks to natta n nana for layan'ing me talking crap at that time! And to Jib, Nadiah, Shazu, Jasara, and a few others...yes, aku sempat pk psl korg jgk plis mase tuh!! That shows how fast my mind was whirling, thinking about one thing/person to another during that 1/2 an hour!
Sgtlaa Drama Queen aku rase, sbb within the same week, mcm2 bende lain jd jgk - kantoi ngn boss time tgh chat kat MSN (my boss tak kasik chat time keje plis!), my evaluation after working for 5 months (sebbaik ok!)..penatlaa nak cite!
