My most anticipated Home Alone Weekend was not meant to be after all. When they called, I was a bit dissappointed, I have to admit. But as days passed, I'm enjoying this company of mine. I get to be acquainted with people who, in the past, wasn't in my directory. Now I'm like one of their sibs with the exception that I get to "perli" the parents and get away with it. And as usual, I ended up being the Cool One and they adore me like hell. (Hihihi confident seh!)
Okay, so, this cousin of mine, he is a businessman. A dedicated one at it too. He's filthy rich and drive cars that make no sound at all unlike my Jaguh White Iswara Aeroback. With leather seat that could effortlessly lullaby you to sleep eventhough the ride is just for 10mins, I will always be awed by these awesome cars' capabilities. His house in Penang is huge and is set at the most hip and happening location. Looking at what he is now, you would never imagine that he came from a broken family. You would never imagine that the slight limp he has now was the result of him acting tough after a soccer tragedy. He knew the mother couldn't afford to pay the tukang urut so he pretended that it was nothing. Now, he limps.
But the limp doesn't stop him from going to business meetings at odd hours and flying back for a meeting in Penang from KL just to be called back for another one in KL, all in less that 24hours. The drive that he has is amazing and I secretly admire him for that.
Though work is keeping him on his toes, he still owns the Greatest Love Story. He's married to his high-school sweetheart, the sweetheart that he swore with his life, is his favorite companion and the one thing that keeps him going. I peeked and saw how tight they were cuddling each other in their sleep. To think that they already 6 kids, it's amazing!
He has everything when he had nothing. He saw the chipped in his life and chose to amend. So shame on me, who is always ugrateful with what I have. Shame one me, not having the drive to make myself content. I have not created the Great Miracle nor have I created the Greatest Love Story. When will there be a paradigm shift, My Paradigm Shift? Maybe 2007? I honestly can't tell.
Please God, help me.
