Dua Sedjoli - Dewa 19

pre-script: It was Nadiah who suggested that I pen-down all the life-changing events that took place in my life since last year, eg : engagement, marriage, pregnancy. It is by far my intention to brag nor bore anybody with my relationship, but I think it's a great idea because who knows if one day I've forgotten all the details and feelings involved in these events, well at least I can look back to these entries and smile :) So here's a start! I've never loved any of Dewa 19 songs before this. Not to say that their music ain't my cup of tea but I was never exposed to their songs before this. The first time I really listened to Dewa's music was 2 years ago, in his car, on our first date. (where I tucked a knife in my handbag as a precaution). hehehe.

Anyways, while the cd was playing I thought to myself, "hmmm not bad... Their music kinda rocks"... (Oh did I tell you by the way, my husband is a die-hard fan of Dewa 19?)

So we were enjoying the music plus the cruise until this particular song played in the air. If only I could relive the moment, which is impossible I guess. It was almost magical and a bit haunting too. I could only remember it as if each word in this song had a meaning and it sunk into your veins and the next thing you know, you felt a shiver ran through your whole body. It felt as though Once was singing and dedicating this song to you! Melampau eh? Memang melampau! :D

When I turned to look at him I swear I saw he had a strain on his face too. We kept quiet and never said a thing tho. I guess this song has strong effects, especially on human beans that have given up on love and suddenly feel that there's hope again.

Well that's about it, the story behind our theme song :) After dating for a while, he admitted he felt the same thing too that very night. Like I said, it was impossible to relive the moment. Even at Dewa's concert last year, we were only halfway to feeling that same feeling we had that fateful night. Maybe, just maybe... one day I will be able to find a word to describe that feeling.
