I remembered this one funny scene from back when.
Colleague A: "Eh, macam pernah jumpa je!" (excitedly referring to another colleagues new girlfriend)
Girlfriend: "Hrmm, betul ke? Dekat mana eh?"
Colleague A: FRIENDSTER kan?? (yeah, I know what you're thinking... this is back when Friendster still rules~)
Ahah!
Making virtual friends through online networking sites has become such a huge phenomenon and an indispensable part of our lives.
So, if I could easily trick those poor girls, who could blame me to be a tad bit apprehensive about making friends with strangers online, right?
For all you know, the photo of the guy who could be KimuTaku's long-lost twin has been photoshopped to death and the original looks more like Sivaji's long-lost twin. Ooo scary.
I have never been a believer. But friends are proving me wrong. Quite a significant few are married to their chatting buddies. I guess, the conversation shared between them weren't as superficial as I thought.
And I guess, through Trout Slapping, romance could actually spark. Heh. /Me *trout slaps Fozzy*
Six Degrees of Separation? Not any more.

My Split Personality
My IRC days saw me pretending to be a guy with smooth pickup lines. Boy, IMHO, I was exceptionally good, I got 2 girls agreeing to first dates with me. Of course, dates which I bailed out from for obvious reasons. I have boobs and no penis. *le sigh*So, if I could easily trick those poor girls, who could blame me to be a tad bit apprehensive about making friends with strangers online, right?

Not Sincerely Yours
I am a skeptic. I am also a conservative person. I personally think online friendship is superficial and "Trout slapping" through Facebook could never beat the real life ass smacking moments you share with your friends.
IMs also gives you that spare minutes to strategize the conversation and let it flow the way you want it to be. Hesitation online could always be, "Hey brb, toilet break", "Sorry, my mom just called". The other receiving end would never be able to tell the difference.
So how sincere are online conversations?
