I don't like to be in a relationship. Caring about someone takes too much out of me that sometimes I think it is totally unnecessary. So to me, you being in a relationship is pretty much equivalent to you investing in the current Indian Stock Market.
Hence, I dodge and I avoid.
But then came this one person that told me this with great honesty.
"Why can't you just redha and bertawakkal with what ever feelings Allah has bestowed you and stop denying what is real."
When I heard that, I fumbled.
All these while, I thought by dodging attraction, I'm keeping safe from lust and I'm avoiding the empowerment of nafsu.
But boy do I fail to realize the other angle of this story. Never in my life have I ever tawakkal to Allah when it comes to matter of the heart. I have always depended on my Pros and Cons list. Thinking that the mind is more sensible than then heart. But I have forgotten that ultimately, Allah is controller of fate.
And fate is beyond my Pros and Cons list.
The wisdom shared by that person has reminded me that Allah knows best.
So lesson learnt. I will live life to the fullest, pray the hardest and at the end of the day, come what may, all I need to do is Tawakkal to Allah. Because Allah knows best.
